The Iowa National Guard has canceled its summer concert series in Johnston and other Camp Dodge events due to the pandemic and preparations to deploy several units later this year.

“It’s difficult to make these decisions but it is the right thing to do,” said Maj. Gen. Ben Corell, adjutant general.

The Iowa Gold Star Military Museum has canceled its annual Memorial Day breakfast and recognition event. The museum remains closed during the pandemic.

The concert series at the pavilion at the former site of the Camp Dodge pool won’t be held.

The 10K No Man’s Land Trench Run through Camp Dodge and the Iowa National Guard Alumni Day also are canceled.
