Des Moines officials have confirmed a COVID-19 case at the Greater Des Moines Softball Complex from an exposure at a 7:30 p.m. game July 22.

The case at the complex at 4980 N.E. 46th St. was confirmed Wednesday.

City officials recommend that residents who think they were exposed stay home and watch for symptoms. Teams, staff and umpires who were at the complex that night have been notified.

The city regularly cleans benches and other frequently touched surfaces.
